Terms of Service
These Terms explain the rules for using BridgeThis, including accounts, proposals, payments, delivery records, marketplace conduct, and the BridgeThis Service Fee.
Last updated: June 21, 2026
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of BridgeThis. By creating an account, browsing the marketplace, posting a project, creating a developer profile, sending messages, submitting proposals, or completing paid orders, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use BridgeThis. We may update these Terms from time to time, and continued use of BridgeThis after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
2. Eligibility
BridgeThis is intended for users who are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. By using BridgeThis, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to use the service.
3. What BridgeThis does
BridgeThis is a marketplace and workflow tool that helps founders and developers connect, discuss technical projects, create proposals, process payments through Stripe, exchange files, track delivery status, and keep a record of project communications.
BridgeThis does not employ developers, supervise work, guarantee project outcomes, guarantee the quality or legality of user work, or act as a legal escrow provider. Users are responsible for deciding who they work with, what they agree to, and whether the work meets their needs.
4. Accounts and profile information
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including your profile, project listings, developer services, messages, files, payment details, and any other content you submit. You are also responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs through your account.
You may not impersonate another person, create misleading profiles, misrepresent your skills or experience, or use BridgeThis for deceptive, fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activity.
5. Projects, proposals, and orders
Founders may post projects and invite developers to discuss potential work. Developers may submit proposals describing their understanding of the problem, proposed solution, deliverables, timeline, and price.
A proposal is not a guarantee of outcome. The founder and developer are responsible for reviewing the proposal carefully before accepting it. Users should keep important scope, payment, delivery, and file records inside BridgeThis when possible.
6. Payments and the BridgeThis Service Fee
Payments on BridgeThis are processed through Stripe. Developers may be required to complete Stripe onboarding before an order can be paid. Payout timing, payout eligibility, payment methods, and payment processing are subject to Stripe's requirements and policies.
BridgeThis charges a 15% service fee on paid orders. Unless otherwise stated at checkout, the founder pays the accepted order amount and the BridgeThis Service Fee is deducted from the developer payout. The service fee helps support payment workflows, proposal records, project messaging, file history, delivery tracking, marketplace operations, and support tools.
BridgeThis is not a bank, money transmitter, financial advisor, legal advisor, or formal escrow provider. Work should not begin until payment is confirmed in the order status.
7. Refunds and disputes
BridgeThis provides tools for proposals, payment status, messages, files, and delivery records, but users remain responsible for the work relationship and project outcome. Refunds, cancellations, disputes, and chargebacks may depend on the order status, Stripe rules, payment network rules, and the facts of the situation.
Users should communicate clearly, keep records inside BridgeThis, and avoid moving payments or important project agreements off-platform.
8. User content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you submit to BridgeThis, including project descriptions, developer profiles, messages, files, links, and uploaded materials. By submitting content, you grant BridgeThis a limited license to host, store, display, transmit, and process that content as needed to operate the service.
You represent that you have the rights needed to upload or share your content. You may not upload content that infringes another person's intellectual property rights, violates privacy rights, contains malware, or violates the law.
9. Prohibited use
You may not use BridgeThis to:
- Break the law or encourage illegal activity.
- Commit fraud, scams, deception, or payment abuse.
- Upload malware, spyware, credential stealers, or harmful code.
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or discriminate against others.
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Attempt to bypass platform fees or move paid orders off-platform.
- Access accounts, messages, files, payments, or data you do not own.
- Interfere with the security, availability, or integrity of BridgeThis.
10. No professional advice
BridgeThis may provide marketplace tools, project records, and payment workflow features, but BridgeThis does not provide legal, financial, tax, security, engineering, or business advice. Users should make their own decisions and consult qualified professionals when needed.
11. Third-party services
BridgeThis may rely on third-party services such as Stripe, Supabase, hosting providers, email providers, analytics tools, or other vendors. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
12. Termination and removal
We may suspend or terminate accounts, remove content, restrict access, or take other action if we believe a user has violated these Terms, created risk for other users, abused the platform, or used BridgeThis in a harmful, illegal, or deceptive way.
13. Disclaimers
BridgeThis is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any project, proposal, developer, founder, payment, or delivery will meet your expectations.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BridgeThis will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost business opportunities, or project outcomes arising from your use of the service.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BridgeThis from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your content, your projects, your work, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless a different governing law is required by applicable law.
17. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent through the Contact page. We will add a dedicated support email before public launch.
